FAQ

Tebra integration questions

Does the Tebra API support document sync?

No. The Tebra API can upload documents but does not expose a document download endpoint, so document sync out of Tebra is not possible for any integration. Orisan Connect syncs the six entity types the API fully supports and marks documents as unsupported rather than overpromising.

Does Orisan Connect work with Kareo?

Yes. Tebra was formed from Kareo and PatientPop, and the Tebra API is the same SOAP 2.1 Web Services interface Kareo exposed. Practices still operating under the Kareo name connect exactly the same way, and nothing about the sync changes when Tebra branding rolls out.

How does Tebra API authentication work?

Tebra uses stateless credential-per-request authentication: a Customer Key from the Tebra admin portal plus an API user with the System Administrator role, sent in every request header. There are no OAuth tokens to refresh. Orisan Connect stores these credentials in an encrypted vault and validates the connection with a health check.

What data can Orisan Connect sync with Tebra?

Six entity types: patients, appointments, encounters, charges, payments, and providers. Syncs are incremental using Tebra's date-range filtering, with per-endpoint rate limiting and conflict detection built in.
