FAQ
Common questions answered.
How does per-connection billing work?
A connection is a single authenticated link between one source system and one destination system. For example, syncing Tebra to AdvancedMD for a single office counts as one connection. Additional connections beyond your plan's base allotment are billed at the flat rate shown on each tier. There are no per-record overage fees — only your base fee and any extra connection add-ons.
Is a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) included?
Yes. Every paid Orisan Connect plan includes a signed BAA. We operate on HIPAA BAA-covered AWS infrastructure (ECS Fargate, RDS, Secrets Manager) and apply AES-256-GCM encryption at rest and TLS 1.2+ in transit for all PHI. The Starter plan's BAA covers standard production use; Enterprise plans include a custom BAA review process for health systems with specific legal requirements.
Can I switch plans or cancel at any time?
Yes. Plans are billed monthly and you can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time from your billing settings. If you upgrade mid-cycle you are charged a prorated amount for the remainder of the billing period. If you downgrade, the change takes effect at the start of your next billing cycle. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current paid period — you retain full access until then.
